Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
EFT has its roots in acupuncture, kineseology and reverse psychology. In recent times it has been a therapy that has been used with fears and phobias. Also known as energy tapping because of the use of tapping specific meridian points on the body while repeating specific affirmations. this work can be interpreted as energy psychology because of the use of energetic vibration from tapping acupuncture points and the connection of emotional issues that then effect the physical body. George Goodheart a chiropractor from Detroit was the first experimentor of energy tapping to relieve pain and thus we get the early beginnings of kineseology, in the 1980's great strides were made by John Diamond and Roger Callaghan.
Known as Thought Field Therapy this was taken a step further by Fred Gallo and Gary Craig in the 1990's and has developed into what is known as the Emotional Freedom Technique.
